[Matt kisses her cheek as he comes in before sitting down and kicking his feet up against the desk. He's also brought a bag from her favourite takeaway with absolutely no prompting required which he carefully places in front of her.]

How was your day? Did we pick up any new cases?

[Her favorite takeout! It's nice having someone who knows what her favorite takeaway is around for a partner, although Kirsten does absently swat somewhat at Matt's feet, to get them further away from the files.]

My day was just fine. Kinda boring, aside from a few tabloid reporters [ugh] and Mr. Miller calling again about his case. [She reaches into the box for some rolls, bites down.] Oh, and Stilt-Man wants to hire us. [She might be grinning delightedly to herself, but her heart rate remains steady.]

[Matt obediently shifts his feet over because he needs to butter her up some more before mentioning his latest purchase. He can tell she's content, but not enough to not flip out at him if he mentions it now.]

Did you tell him justice doesn't work fast? [While she's eating that roll, Matt's also going to try and sneak a piece for himself.] Stilt-Man? Are you sure he doesn't want to sue me instead?
